Intuit Sync Manager is a program that works with the products of QuickBooks Desktop running on the Microsoft Windows. This exceptional product runs in the background on computers, and cannot be uninstalled or you cannot prevent it from running.
It can easily swap information between a version of data and QuickBooks desktop database that is saved into the Intuit cloud servers. The changes in desktop data will be sent to the cloud, as well as changes made to that cloud copy of data will be sent back to the desktop.

Intuit has several ways for the cloud apps as well as services to work with QuickBooks desktop data. Below mentioned are some of the apps:
- Intuit Payroll
Full-Service Payroll and Online Payroll use the Intuit Sync Manager to post complete information to the desktop file. Once the service ends you will still be able to use that older method of using IIF files to import the payroll data.
- Recurring Credit Card Payments in the QuickBooks Merchant Services
It is the only feature in QuickBooks Merchant Services which uses it is “recurring credit card payments” feature.
- 1099 e-file Service
Intuit’s website was a bit ambiguous about this. You can use this service via the current tax season.
- View My Paycheck
This app uses Intuit Sync Manager for some administrative functions. The Intuit has a plan to offer support for those features in another way.
- Integration with Square
Intuit had own integration app which used Intuit Sync Manager, that won’t be updated. Though, they have an exclusive arrangement with a third-party provider known as CommerceSync to take over this function.
- American Express ReceiptMatch
There is no replacement available to integrate your American Express OPEN account and ReceiptMatch service with the QuickBooks desktop.
